Hearing Test for Children AGED 4-17 YEARS

This is a more comprehensive test which involves testing of more frequencies, a test of the middle ear function and a report to the Doctor. It is generally requested by a parent , teacher or GP if hearing difficulties are suspected or need to be ruled out.

For our younger children, we do play audiometry games involving them putting a coloured block in a hole when they hear the sound presented. For our older children, we use the push button technique. There are also a couple of automatic tests that we do in the appointment.

**Our Paediatric Audiologist is available 2-3 days per week. A referral is recommended to receive a Medicare rebate.**
